The Rundown: As the X-Men fight a group with the same name, Beast gets an unusual offer.

Cyclops and his team have managed to take out the field leader of this 3K X-Men team and without a leader, Scott and the others sit back and watch them implode from the ghosts of old rivalries. At the same time, Magneto attempts to stop the rampaging mutant before it destroys the town and one of the new recruits to the team decides the best way to stop the child is to offer it the chance to get revenge on its mother.
Back at the base, Beast is confronted by Wyre who has managed to infiltrate their home and made his way to Beast undetected to do something completely unexpected. Wyre wants Beast to join 3K and is willing to wait for the mutant to realize where he really belongs.
The Story: MacKay crafts a story filled with tension, humor and suspense. I enjoyed how each part of the story was resolved and what mysteries come out of those events. I like seeing Beast tempted with the darker elements of his nature while also seeing how effective Cyclops continues to be as a field leader for the team. An enjoyable, fun and thrilling adventure from start to finish.
The Art: Laiso delivers some impressive, highly detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue.
